At Hagg Hill Weekender, DJs aren’t there to overpower the space — they’re there to shape the mood, carry the night, and keep things flowing.
We host small, adult-only, inclusive events for neurodiverse and neurotypical adults, with a maximum audience of around 400 people. Our DJ sets are about choice, vibe, and atmosphere, not volume wars.
This role applies primarily to Summer Vibes, where evenings move into a silent disco after live music.
🌿 What DJs Do
DJs at Hagg Hill Weekender may:
- play DJ sets as part of a silent disco programme
- help transition the event from live music into late evening
- curate sets that suit different moods and tastes
- respect the calm, community-first tone of the event
- work within agreed time slots and handovers
Silent disco means:
- no noise complaints
- no pressure to be loud
- people opt in, opt out, and move between channels freely
🤍 Who This Role Suits
This role may suit you if you:
- enjoy curating sets rather than just chasing drops
- like playing to mixed, inclusive crowds
- are comfortable with neurodiverse audiences
- enjoy variety, niche genres, or mood-led sets
- don’t need a packed dancefloor to enjoy the job
Genres and styles can vary — what matters most is awareness of the room.
🎪 Events This Role Covers
DJs may be involved in:
- Summer Vibes
Live music during the day and early evening, followed by silent disco at night
DJ slots are curated to give people choice, not overload.
💸 Payment & Reality Check
We’ll be honest (as always).
This is a first-year, independent event with no sponsors and limited budgets.
Even our “higher” rates are still on the lower end (we laugh about it together 😅).
Because of this:
- Some DJ slots are paid
- Some may suit DJs happy to play in exchange for a free weekend ticket and camping
Everything is discussed openly and agreed in advance.
⚖️ Important to Know
- This role applies to adult-only events
- Anyone staying on site overnight must be 21+
- DJs must bring their own decks/controllers unless agreed otherwise
- Sets must align with our inclusive, community-first ethos
- Participation depends on suitability, availability, and event needs
🌱 A Final Word
Silent disco at Hagg Hill Weekender is about freedom and choice — people dancing, wandering, resting, or switching channels whenever they want.
If you enjoy curating atmosphere rather than chasing hype, you’ll likely feel very at home here.
