A stay that feels like your own
The Cottage is a self-contained holiday home attached to the main farmhouse, with its own entrance, fully equipped kitchen, cosy living room, upstairs bedroom with en-suite and enclosed private patio. Two cars can park side by side.
The Cottage is advertised on Airbnb and Booking.com for up to four guests, although it is most comfortably suited to two people sharing. It is the family-friendly accommodation at Hagg Hill Farm, and well-behaved dogs are welcome subject to the house rules.
The pleasure of being here
Expect peaceful views, birdsong, changing weather and the character of a genuine countryside home. Hagg Hill Farm is being restored and cared for over time: the land is natural, paths and ground can be uneven, and the surrounding areas are not a manicured holiday resort.
Mobile reception can be poor. Many people welcome the chance to put their phones aside, but we recommend downloading essential arrival and travel information before setting off.
Practical details
The bedroom and its en-suite bathroom are upstairs, and the bathroom is accessed through the bedroom. There are steps down to the front entrance without handrails; the property may not suit guests with limited mobility.
The Cottage’s enclosed private patio is for guests’ use. Other areas of the working farm are private unless access has been arranged in advance.
Resident dogs live on the farm. Visiting dogs must remain on leads outside the Cottage’s enclosed private area, and guests should respect the privacy of other visitors and areas of the land not opened to the public.
