Roots & Restore — In the Orchard
Roots & Restore is an adults-only sanctuary taking shape in the orchard at Hagg Hill Farm. It is being created for people who want to step away from the demands of everyday life, find some quiet and feel a little closer to nature — without having to be anything other than themselves.
This is not a spa, a busy retreat or somewhere with a programme to keep you occupied. It is a small, private place where time, space, comfort and the natural world are what matter most.
A place to simply be
So much of modern life asks us to hurry, achieve, respond and fit in. Roots & Restore is intended to offer something different: permission to slow down. You might spend your time reading, writing, resting, watching the changing light or listening to the birds. You might share the stillness with someone close to you, or enjoy the rare pleasure of your own company.
There is no expectation to join a group, follow a timetable or make conversation. The experience is deliberately unhurried and sensory-aware, with respect for individual needs, personal space and the freedom to choose what feels comfortable.
Rooted in the land
The orchard is not a backdrop to the experience; it is part of what makes it special. The trees, wildlife, weather and seasons set their own pace here. We want guests to feel part of that rhythm while leaving the land as peaceful and cared for as they found it.
Rather than creating a polished resort, we are thoughtfully restoring and repurposing places that already have a history at Hagg Hill Farm. Each has its own character, with rustic warmth, simple comforts and privacy at the heart of the plans. Guest numbers will remain small to protect the atmosphere of the orchard.
Time that belongs to you
The intended sanctuary opening window is Friday from 12 noon until Monday at 2pm, with one-, two- and three-night stays as individual accommodation becomes ready. These are plans for when the sanctuary opens; orchard accommodation is not yet available to book.

A little extra space to restore
Quiet, one-to-one restorative experiences are also part of the vision. A dedicated Treatment Hut is planned for the orchard. In the meantime, Reiki is already available by appointment in a treatment room inside the farmhouse, arranged separately from accommodation. You can read about the Treatment Hut as it develops.
