Camping Fields & Park-Up
Space, solitude and a simple overnight stop in the Derwent Valley. These are quiet adult-only countryside pitches for travellers who can be entirely self-sufficient; the setting is intentionally different from a holiday park.
The essentials
£20 per vehicle per night, by prior arrangement and subject to availability and ground conditions.
Suitable for self-contained campervans, motorhomes, roof tents and other appropriate vehicle-based setups. Drinking water is available on site. Camping areas are natural ground and may be uneven.
Facilities
Available: drinking water and a quiet rural setting.
Not available: toilets, showers, electric hook-ups, waste disposal or chemical-toilet disposal. Guests must bring and manage everything needed for their entire stay.
What to expect
Genuine solitude, quiet evenings, changing weather, some rough ground and unreliable mobile phone service. The land is a living landscape, not a landscaped caravan park. We ask guests to arrive prepared, respect wildlife and other guests, and follow the agreed arrival instructions.
Well-behaved visiting dogs must remain on leads. Resident dogs also live on the property. All stays are adult-only, while The Cottage is the part of Hagg Hill Farm that welcomes families.
The Meadow Fields
Meadow Fields is a separate future landscape concept. The planned camping circles among long grasses are not currently open or included in this park-up service.
