At Hagg Hill Weekender, emotional support is about being alongside, not fixing, diagnosing, or pushing change.
We host small, adult-only, inclusive events for neurodiverse and neurotypical adults, with a maximum audience of around 400 people. Support roles here are gentle, optional, and clearly bounded — designed to help people feel safe, grounded, and seen, not worked on.
This role applies to adult-only Hagg Hill Weekender events where emotional or reflective support fits the tone.
🌿 What This Role Involves
People in these roles may:
- offer 1-to-1 or small-group emotional support
- provide listening, grounding, or reflective space
- support people who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally wobbly
- help attendees regulate and re-centre if needed
- work calmly within agreed time slots and boundaries
This is not crisis intervention and not intensive therapy.
It’s about presence, containment, and choice.
🤍 Who This Role Suits
This role may suit you if you:
- are comfortable supporting mixed neurodiverse and neurotypical adults
- work in a trauma-aware, consent-led way
- understand boundaries and scope of practice
- don’t need people to “do the work” to justify your role
- are calm, grounded, and emotionally regulated yourself
We’re interested in hearing from people such as:
- therapists or counsellors
- life coaches
- emotional wellbeing facilitators
- peer-support or reflective practitioners
🎪 Events This Role Covers
This role may be part of adult-only events including:
- Wellness in the Wild
A slower-paced wellness retreat where emotional safety, reflection, and nervous-system support are central - Summer Vibes
A music-led camping weekender where emotional support may be quietly available for those who need it
The pace and expectations differ between events and are always shared clearly in advance.
đź’¸ Payment & Practical Reality
We’re open and honest about this.
Hagg Hill Weekender is a first-year, independent event with no sponsors and limited budgets.
Because of this:
- Some roles are paid
- Some are collaborative or contribution-based
- Some practitioners offer support alongside attending the event
Everything is discussed openly, respectfully, and agreed in advance.
⚖️ Important to Know
- This role applies to adult-only events
- Anyone staying on site overnight must be 21+
- Relevant qualifications, experience, and insurance are required
- Clear boundaries and scope of practice must be maintained
- All work must align with our inclusive, community-first ethos
- Participation depends on suitability, availability, and event needs
🌱 A Final Word
Emotional support at Hagg Hill Weekender isn’t about breakthroughs or transformation.
It’s about holding space, offering steadiness, and letting people move at their own pace.
If your work is gentle, ethical, and grounded — and you value people over performance — you’ll likely feel very at home here.
